I still love the idea of open kitchen shelves. As long of your displaying your belongings it a somewhat organized way... there's your basic dish set of course, piled in neat stacks and then ad a few more personalized items... a frame photo, ceramic bowls, glass pitchers, or pretty silverware in a cup... anything really that matches your colour scheme!
