The idea was brilliant, but poor implementation led to failure of the fashion show by International Film Festival of India. The show was organized by Entertainment Society of Goa CEO Manoj Srivastava. He attempted to bring the magic of yesteryear cinema, but the pitfalls in designs made it a flop show.
The models chosen, the costumes designed, and the style of display lacked the sync with the yesteryears. There were many a flaws. Like show designer jumped directly from Madhubala to Sharmila Tagore, and style icon Sadhana was left out. The get up of Sharmila Tagore was not upto the mark, and the song enacted on her too lacked dressing sense. Like, Madhuri Dixit was represented with the song 'Dhak Dhak', but the model hid her back with her hairs. Actress Urmila was forgotten, and they came directly on Rani Mukherjee.
We just hope that next time organizers should choose better designers so that ideas could be implemented properly.
