Over the past couple of years i've often found myself in awe of pretty vintage linen. Whether it has a beautiful floral pattern, detailed embroidery or a scallop-trimmed edge, when used to upholster a chair or create smooth, soft sheets, the gorgeous detail certainly stands out! So when I came across Cabbages & Roses thanks to a lovely reader who emailed me a while back (thanks Cate!), I discovered so many beautiful fabrics with lovely, simple, English charm. Between all the clothes, homeware, and an array of fabrics, it just makes me want to set up home in a lovely country house!
Designed to fit in with their Langton range of neutrals, greys, and blacks, the new Spring 2011 line is made from linen or antique linen, and hand-stamped with a special Cabbages & Roses stamp. I love that the neutral shades allow the patterns to stand out more without being too overpowering or ultra-girly, for more simpler tastes. The grey tones are elegant and chic, with a little French charm too, wouldn't you say?
The only thing missing is a lovely scent to fill your home, and lucky for us Cabbages & Roses is giving away one of their Tuberose & Ylang candles. Just pop by their site or blog and come back here to leave a comment to enter.
