Lakme Fashion Week 2011

Thursday 1 pm at the Grand Hyatt in Santacruz, LFW Summer Resort 11 Model auditions began under watchful eyes of designers Nachiket Barve and Rocky S show directors Marc Robinson and Lubna Adam; fashion photographer Jatin Kampani, Editor of Vogue, India, Priya Tanna, along with Anil Chopra, CEO – Lakmé Lever and Sujal Shah, Vice-President & Head of Fashion for IMG India. 7 models selected for the outstanding show- Lakme fashion Week 2011.

Various designers introduced their collection in the show including Manish Malhotra show has showcased his spring collection and seemed satisfied with the show he tweeted, 'show went great- feel good and relaxed', great fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee showcased his new collections at the Lakme Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer edition. His latest collection has been inspired and developed for a project to ‘Save the Tiger’. Designers like Shivan-Narresh and Jatin Varma beat the heat with a bite of their ice-cream inspired lines, Sabah Khan took autos on the ramp. Designer Deepti Prurthi showcased a collection inspired by Chicago’s Aqua Tower, the tallest building in the world designed by a woman. Deepti called her collection Complicated Simplicity.

There is a buzz that the show has been attended by almost bollywood hotties accept Vidhya Balan and Rani Mukherjee, both beautiful actress have always tried to grab the front row seats as his darling guests. When the designer was tangled with questions about his favorite friends missing in action at his event, Sabyasachi reveled that Vidhya is in Australia and Rani is shooting for a film with Aamir khan. They both wanted to come but their schedules didn't permit, so it's their loss.
